This winter hike from Grütschalp to Mürren high above the steep-sided Lauterbrunnen valley promises fantastic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau – the world famous Bernese Alps spread out before you every inch of the way. The beautifully prepared hiking trail snakes along a sunny hillside high above the valley. The turning point of the tour is the car-free village of Mürren with its cosy little wooden houses and an outdoor skating track where you are bound to see some non-skiers whizzing up and down. Nor are the views of the Männlichen range and Faulhorn range in the distance on your return journey any less magnificent.
