Situated on the sunny side of Engelberg, Brunni is popular among both skiers and hikers alike. The panoramic views of the Titlis range opposite are truly overwhelming and will accompany you throughout your tour. Brunni is also a great place for kids and has its very own Yeti Park promising endless fun and games. This hike follows a no-miss trail from beginning to end. The climb is pleasantly steep with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the superb views. The hamlet of Schwand is the half-way mark and the picturesque wayside chapel you pass en route is likely to prove an irresistible photo opportunity. The last part of the trail takes you through snow-clad forests back to Engelberg and its famous monastery.
Ristis - Schwand - Engelberg
At the station, set off through the village of Engelberg in the direction of the Brunnibahn valley station. Take the cable car up to Ristis and there follow the wide trail back down to Engelberg. At Spisboden, follow the trail signposted to Schwand, where you will find another wide trail leading back to the centre of Engelberg.
