Engelberg

Towering above the holiday resort of Engelberg are several mighty peaks, first and foremost among them the 3238-m-high Titlis. To the southeast of the village there is the Hahnen and to the north the precipitous face of the Gerschniberg that separates the Trübsee plateau from that of Gerschnialp. This very pleasant winter hike takes you from Engelberg up to Gerschnialp and from there to Untertrübsee, where you can enjoy some superb views of the mountains on all sides of the valley. The tour ends with a visit to Engelberg Monastery.
