Rigi

Surrounded by the fantastic lakes of Central Switzerland, Mount Rigi must be one of the most impressive peaks in the Alpine foothills. In winter, however, the lakes are rarely visible, as they are more often than not buried beneath a thick blanket of fog. This also means that the views are changing all the time, depending on which peaks happen to be pointing out of the clouds. Mount Rigi is a Mecca for both tobogganing fans and winter hikers alike. Not only does it boast an extensive network of winter hiking trails, but it also has two spectacular toboggan runs that leave nothing to be desired.
