This winter hike from the Tannenbodenalp up to Chrüz and back again via Prodalp promises some truly fantastic views of the Churfirsten, the Spitzmeilen and the Liechtensteiner Alps. The climb up to Chrüz is very peaceful and at one point on the way you can see all the way down to Lake Walen. It does not become really steep until the connecting path between Chrüz and Prodalp and the tour ends in picturesque countryside with some wonderful views into the Sarganserland.
Tannenbodenalp - Chrüz - Prodalp - Tannenbodenalp
At the cable car station on the Tannenbodenalp, walk past the igloo and across the ski slope and then follow the trail signposted to Chrüz and Prodalp. After crossing the piste at Chrüz, you can begin the steep climb up to Prodalp cable car station, where you will again have to cross the ski slope. The trail then winds down to Madils and from there leads you back to the Tannenbodenalp.
