Haute-Nendaz

The winter sports resort Nendaz, together with Verbier, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz and Thyon, belongs to an area known as the 4 Vallées. All these resorts are linked together and accessible to skiers and snowboarders via a gigantic network of lifts, cable cars and pistes, making it one of the largest winter sports regions in Switzerland. As with all the other winter sports disciplines available here, the winter hiking to be had in the 4 Vallées is also on an unparalleled scale. One particularly beautiful trail is that high above Nendaz which begins at Tracouet mountain station. This high-altitude tour offering fantastic views of the Walliser Alps takes hikers to the Plan de Fou station and back again.
