The famous village of Saas Fee is tucked away in the very steep and narrow Saas valley. Towering high above it are some of Switzerland’s mightiest peaks – an unparalleled natural arena of glaciers and eternal snow. While skiers and snowboarders are enjoying the Fee glacier itself, non-skiers here in Saas Fee can have a whole mountain to themselves. The Hannig not only boasts an extensive network of winter hiking trails, but an exciting toboggan run as well. The ascent from Saas Fee to the mountain station is very steep in places, although the superb panoramic views to be had from the top make it well worth the effort.

Saas Fee - Restaurant Alpenblick - Hannig

The tour begins at the post office in Saas Fee and takes you first to the valley station of the Hannig cable car. From there, simply follow the steep path up to Alpenblick restaurant and continue on up until you reach the Hannig mountain station.
