Belalp
Belalp
Four-thousand-meter peaks in a multipack! This could be the catchphrase describing the panoramic mountain world of the Belalp. The mountain giants of rock and ice extend from the Matterhorn to the Mischabel group, practically shaking hands.
The unobstructed views of the Aletsch Glacier are no less impressive. In the distance below you can see the spectacular suspension bridge of the Massa Gorge. Towards the south, the Glishorn casts its shadow over the Valaisian valley basin. The winter walking tour starts at the mountain station of the Belalp Cable Car and leads on almost level ground to Hotel Belalp, where a sun-drenched terrace welcomes the hiker with refreshing drinks and local specialties. Right next to it, a chapel invites the visitor to a moment of reflection in the midst of the breathtaking mountain paradise. The return walk to the starting point is accomplished on the same path.
