Sun, snow and majestic mountains – this is what you will see when you gaze across the wide valley that on the other side ends abruptly in the mighty Wildstrubel massif. The scenery really is glorious.
This walk from Sillerengrat to Geils and from there down to Adelboden makes for an especially delightful winter hike. The trails are all excellently prepared and clearly marked too, leading sometimes down a steep narrow path, sometimes across a wide open field.

Silleren - Geils - Bergläger - Adelboden

On the Sillere, set off to your left and then turn right down towards Geils. After passing underneath a chairlift, you will come to a restaurant where the trail bears left in a huge arc taking you up onto a hilltop. At Geils, follow the road to the left for at least 100 m and then continue along the hiking trail that drops down steeply to Bergläger. Keep walking down into the valley as far as the Fure Bridge. There, the trail that takes you a short way up the hill opposite will also take you to the centre of Adelboden.
