Braunwald
The holiday resort of Braunwald is situated high above the Linth valley, surrounded by the mighty Glarner Alps. Because it faces south, Braunwald is wonderfully sunny even in the winter months. Time and again on this hike through the sprawling village of Braunwald, you will find yourself stopping to admire the superb views – whether of the Tödi, the Clariden or the very distinctive peaks of the Ortstock. During your ascent, you will see dozens of toboggan fans whizzing past you in the opposite direction on their way from Grotzenbüel down to Braunwald – a real spectacle that is sure to delight the whole family.
