Tackling one of the longest downhill runs in Switzerland - across 12 km from the 2970 metre high Schilthorn to Lauterbrunnen (800 metres a.s.l.) - is best done after a hearty James Bond breakfast in the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant.
On the original stretch of the world's most infamous and extreme ski-run that is accessible to all, the 'inferno run', skiers pass through the cannon tube over Winteregg to Lauterbrunnen. The record stands at 14 minutes, but it's thought better all round to put in a stop and admire the mountain panorama.
