Via Wildhaus the tour travels to Sargans, Landquart and Klosters. It then rolls over the Wolfgang Pass to Davos and over the Flüela Pass into the Engadin, one of Europe’s highest inhabited valleys, over 80 kilometers long. Alongside the Inn River the journey goes to Zernez and Zuoz up to La Punt, the starting point of the Albula Pass route that leads to Bergün.

From Preda/Bergün the route continues alongside the Albula railway line. Countless viaducts, tunnels, bridges and three spiral tunnels were necessary to overcome the altitude difference on the route. From Thusis, the motorbikers travel on the main road and on the Autobahn (Expressway) through the Graubünden Vacation Region of Splügen/Rheinwald to Hinter Rhine. While the Autobahn disappears in a tunnel before emerging at the village of San Bernardino, the pass road leads to a mystical high moor landscape with reflecting bodies of water and glacial striations, and further on to the San Bernardino Pass (2065 meters above sea level) and the beautiful mountain lake, Lago Moesola.

The Bernardino Route is for motorbikers who want to travel from Eastern Switzerland to Ticino - an alternative to the Gotthard Pass. The journey continues via Roveredo, Biasca and Olivone in the Blenio Valley to the Lukmanier Pass and then to Disentis in the Surselva area, the destination of this tour. Disentis and Sedrun, located at the origin of the Rhine River, are modern towns, which are nevertheless deeply rooted in traditional culture. In the upper part of the Surselva area Romansh is spoken, Switzerland’s fourth language.
