Berninapasshöhe/ Graubünden (Graubünden)
Lago Bianco is fed by glacier waters and sand, giving it a milky-white colour. Lago Bianco is both a reservoir and a watershed. To the east, the waters flow into the Black Sea and to the south, into the Adriatic.
Lej Nair, to give it its romansch name, is fed by the Lago Bianco, so the water has already been partially purified and, because the sun doesn’t shine directly on the lake, the waters appear rather black. Lej Nair is brimming with trout, but no fishing is allowed.
