Swim in the rivers

The Aare has a strong current. There are landings and steps every 50 metres to help you get out, but only strong swimmers should attempt to bathe in the river. There are warning signs stating that bathing in the river Aare is dangerous. On hot summer days up to 5000 people per hour head for the river.
