A huge crevice vertically divides the ridge over St-Imier into two parts – the Combe Grède. The craggy cliff faces are inhabited by chamois and marmots, even pellegrine falcons and wood grouse can be seen. The 6-km-long and steep walk from Villeret through the Combe Grède direct to the Chasseral is very demanding, takes a good 3 hours and should only be undertaken by experienced hikers.

Davos (Graubünden)

The Rosenlaui Glacier Gorge has attracted romantics from near and far for more than a century. The Weissenbach River has carved a way into the slate and limestone. A narrow hiking trail follows the rushing mountain stream step for step. In some areas, the gorge is so narrow that the highly polished cliffs seem to nearly touch, leaving only a sliver of sky.

For centuries, people needed to climb down one treacherous side to climb up the other. In 1893, a wooden bridge was built over this gorge. it is 48 meters long and 100 meters high.

The Sihl flows through the Sihl Lake near Einsiedeln and meanders through the Sihl Valley (Sihltal) towards Zürich.

Thusis (Graubünden)
The Via Mala Gorge, 5km from Thusis, is the largest gorge in the canton of Graubünden, in parts only a few meters wide, with rocks up to 300m high forming its walls.
Trient (Valais)
A circular trail leads from Tête-Noire to the Gorges Mystérieuses, the mysterious gorges. The trail takes you across meadows to an assemblage of piled up stones, which has to be surmounted via four staircases of larchwood, followed by stone steps, stonewalls and terraces, before the trail finally winds through a forest to the bridge path.
Valle di Blenio (Ticino)
The Blenio Valley is where the "Sentiero Basso" is, a hiking path following the valley from Biasca to Olivone. It passes through Aquarosse, and touches some nearly virginal parts of the Ticino. Every once in a while one will find a hidden treasure, such as the Romanic belfries, the baroque churches and the medieval castle ruins.
Valle Maggia (Ticino)
The charm of the Maggia Valley is in the diversity of its landscapes and villages: the valley rises by 3000 m from where it starts to the highest point (Basodino) and covers 1/5 of the total area of Ticino.
Vernayaz Trient (Valais)
The Trient river, which rose from the glacier of the same name, gouged the 200 metre-deep gorge in the rocks. A bridge built in 1934 connects the 187 metre-high walls on either side of the river, and a path has been constructed along the river itself, turning the area into a real paradise for climbers and botanists.
