The region north of the Ticino's capital, Bellinzona, where the Moesa River and the Ticino River unite, can be explored by mountain bike in the most delightful and leisurely way. Here the north-south traffic speeds by, without appreciation of the scenery. But as is often the case, the true beauty of the landscape reveals itself when one takes a close look. Typical Ticinese villages line the route. Challenging single trails run along both banks of the river. Left and right of the route loom the steep mountain faces of the Leventina.

Here is the confluence of the Moesa and Ticino rivers. And the tour turns towards the Valle Mesolcina. At Roveredo the route changes over to the other side of the valley. On a magnificent forest trail along the left banks of the Moesa you will return to the starting point of the tour near Arbedo.
