Zug (Zurich (Region))
On the 18th May 1478 the people of Zug, under the direction of Hans Felder, laid the foundation stone for this late-Gothic church. The single-nave church was completed in five years and in the mid-16th century was extended to a three-nave basilica.

Founded in 853 by King Louis the German, this church with ist convent was inhabited by the female members of the aristocracy of southern Germany.

According to legend, Charlemagne discovered the graves of the city's martyrs Felix and Regula and had a church build as a choristers' cloister on the spot. Construction work on the present building began around 1100.
Bellinzona (Ticino)
This medieval convent is located in a chestnut forest above Claro, and to this day nuns live here in seclusion. After careful restauration, the visitor gets a fine impression of the completely preserved convent complex, which affords a fantastic view of the Swiss Riviera and Bellinzona.Region.
Fribourg (Fribourg Region)
A magnificent Cistercian abbey 20 minutes away from Fribourg, founded in 1137 by Guillaume de Glâne, leader of the Ecuvillens. Visits are organised on request. The abbey is near the Saint Jacques de Compostelle path.
Lausanne (Lake Geneva Region)
The monastery is surrounded by a wall with watchtowers (part of which remains). The Roman church with its added Gothic details lies over the site of two previous churches, whose foundations can just be seen on the ground. South of the church is the old cloister and the basement of a building that is said to have been Moines' house. The whole area was recently excavated and many remains of the old monasteries were found, in addition to the remains of a cruciform church.
Lugano (Ticino)
A singularly beautiful panorama of the pre-Alpine landscape, the lakes and the snow-capped Alps. Among the most prominent attraction is the church S. Maria degli Angeli, a project of the renowned architect Mario Botta. As a modern house of worship it has a distinctly innovative character.
Sion-Sierre (Valais)
This was built by an architect from Basel. This concrete masterpiece suddenly springs up in the middle of the typical wooden chalets.
