The emphasis of one of Switzerland"s most impressive private art collections of the 20th century is placed on paintings, drawings and graphic art from Bern, and in particular from the Lake Thun region. The art works were collected by Hans and Marlis Suter.

In the main house of the Wichterheer Manor in Oberhofen, established in 1518, all guests are conducted through the magnificent collection, they can listen to the mechanical musical instruments and learn a lot about measuring time and the technology of watchmaking with the help of timepieces and clocks from seven centuries.

At the "Schlossweid" Estate, near the church, there is a Village Museum which found a home in the lovingly restored Stöckli building.

The castle of Spiez, the "Golden Court at Lake Wendel" is one of the most beautiful and impressive testimonies to Bernese history at Lake Thun.
