Visitors to Moléson can look forward to a genuine summit experience. If you stay overnight in the dormitory, you also get to admire the sunset.
In the afternoon take the funicular and cable car up the Moléson with views extending from Mont Blanc all the way to the Bernese Alps. In the evening visit the observatory with the world's largest telescope, which can home in on more than 1000 different spots. Spend the night in a camp on the summit. A genuine summit experience. Closed from November through to mid-December.
How to get there:
By postal bus or car from Schloss Gruyères to Moléson Village and from there by funicular and cable car to the summit (where there is skiing in winter).
Sunset:
Thanks to the open view towards the west, the sunsets and (and the sunrises) are especially impressive. If you don’t want to stay in the dormitory, you can catch the last cable car to the valley on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 p.m.
