Schlappin is a Walser settlement, which was inhabited all year round until 1650. After the fire in 1750, it was rebuilt as an Alpine farming settlement. Berghaus Erika was inaugurated in 1968 and is open all year round. Forget the stresses and and strains of daily life and enjoy nature in its purest form - the way nature was and still is, and as it will always be.
Roesti, spätzli (home-style egg noodles), capuns (dumplings with a meat and chard filling), pizokel (dumplings with spinach, etc.) cream-filled pastries and apple strudel. A combination of rural conviviality and cosmopolitan flair - cosiness and a sense of well-being assume central importance here.
