Theme and discovery trails

Countless medicinal herbs grow in front of and next to the Metzger natural apothecary in Beatenberg. Numbered signs serve to identify a portion of these. Learn more about these mysterious plants over a dragon tea (green tea) in the shop or in the al fresco cafe. Guided tours, presentations and Alpine herb walks are available on request.

After an intensive search, dragon tracks were able to be found in Beatenberg. Local residents recently discovered three distinct footprints between Rischerli and Drachenplatz. On following the footprints, a dragon's nest with its famed golden eggs was actually found to the great astonishment of all those present! Markus Metzger offers excursions to the dragon's lair.
