Excursions (Eastern Switzerland / Liechtenstein)

Changing exhibitions present aspects of the works of the painters Carl August Liner (1871-1946)and Carl Walter Liner (1914-1997) as well as art from the 20th Century to the present.

This "must-see" art hall in a former brick factory has a kiln dating back to 1566, which visitors can in fact walk around in.

The cocktail hour in the Säntis cable car is always a good bet: the revolving bar allows for excellent views in all directions as the gondola reaches the top at a reduced speed.

The Nature Discovery Park introduces the visitor to the secrets of nature in an easily understandable way and provides and opportunity to marvel, understand, explore and experience. Exciting insights into fauna, flora, geology and tradition of a whole region.
And there's more: the wild animal attraction Discovery Mountain on the summit of the Säntis, 5 themed trails, the Geology Park and Alpine demonstration cheese dairy, guided tours relating to culture, nature and technology and educational excursions.

In Appenzellerland, the tranquil Ebenalp is in complete contrast to the summit and dramatic Wildkirchli.

Every Friday and Saturday the walk through the nature park and the snow-covered forest on the Schwägalp is a meeting place for romantics: Hundreds of lanterns illuminate the (circular) tour and create true winter magic. Starting point and destination is the mountain hotel. If you worked up an appetite during the 45-minute walk through the winter night and feel a bit chilly, you can crown the evening with a fondue or raclette party.
