Starting point of paraglider flights. The Snowhill Park (Funpark) is next door. The winter hiking trail leads to the south and is very sunny.
The sun-terrace is found between the house and the stable. A peaceful and quiet location, where you will experience congenial, cheerful hospitality. It was in the village of Latsch that the first Heidi film was shot in 1952.

Nature trail from Morteratsch station (1896m) to the glacier, through thousands of years of the earth's history into the ice ages, and back again into the present. Information about the current recession of the glaciers and the unusual life forms in their foreland. Views across the Pers and Morteratsch glacier, of Piz Palü and Piz Bernina. 2.7 km to the glacier, 100m difference in elevation, 45 minutes.
An adventure trail via the Segantini Hut that received international awards: "On the Track of Climate Changes".
How is green electricity generated from cow dung? How does the electricity reach the power socket? You'll find all the answers on the green electricity trail. Information panels also explain how the Bernina Railway came to be and why hydropower actually falls under the heading of solar energy. The educational trail passes along Lake Bianco (2234m) and then winds through the Palü gorge. The destination is Cavaglia at 1703m. 2.5 hours.

Natural Tipps
There are six different trails leading through the Viamala. The main trail, the Via Traversina, leads from Thusis/Sils to Zillis (or vice versa). Starting from the Palazzo in Sils, the path leads up past the castles of Ehrenfels and Hohen Rätien until you are high up above Domleschg. (Before entering the gorge, you can make a short detour to see the rock paintings of Carschenna if you like).

The Rhaetian railway line between Chur and Tirano is truly a technical

Right through the picturesque Albula valley from Preda down to Bergün 2.5 hours (or the other way...), past fascinating civil engineering structures of the Rhaetian Railway. Information plaques situated at prominent vantage points explain the construction and route of the roller-coaster-like railway line.

Long ago, the Palü glacier created an extraordinary natural formation here: over the course of thousands of years rotating stones have gouged their way into rock here because of the constant pressure of pre-historic glacial water. This is how the 10-metre-deep glacial mills were formed. Access from Cavaglia railway station. Guided tours on request on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June-October.
The pioneering efforts of man and nature in the Albula valley can be discovered at 13 information stops dotted along the Pioneer’s Trail. The trail leads to the Crap Furò pinnacle, the geographical centre point of Graubünden. For 7km along the Albula, the Landwasser and the Schaftobelbach river. Visitors are acquainted with the emotion-afflicted element of water as it serves to provide for tranquility and relaxation, exploration and activity, research and inspection. Water accordingly becomes experienceable sensuously in its many diverse facets in the cultural landscape. Walking time for the Alvaneu Bad round tour: 2 hours.
The fairytale trail from Bever (1710m) to Spinas (1815m) is situated along the walking trail on the left side of the valley (walking time 1 hour). There are six stations which present the individual fairytales in a pictorial manner. The fairytales were written by local women, the sculptures fashioned by local artists. There is an illustrated book to accompany the stories of the fairytale trail.
The scenic beauty of the southern side of the Bernina Pass is matched in equal measure by its ability to demonstrate the forces that nature can unleash. The nature trail from the Grüm Alp (2091m) to Poschiavo (1014m) via Cavaglia shows this in an exemplary manner. Dangers and protective measures are not simply presented – installations on the nature trail also provide for interactive experiences. 6 – 7 hours.
The Historical Rail Path follows the route of the Albula railway, a classic among alpine crossings. It affords you a close look at the many impressive constructions that keep the train on track in the ever-changing terrain.
Castles & palaces
There are so many legends and historical tales associated with this building, its inhabitants, and its destruction in 1499. The castle was the ancestral home of the barons of Vaz. It is located on the trading route from Chur via Lenzerheide into the Landwasser valley, going all the way to Davos and then over the Albula Pass into the Engadin. It is a cultural monument of national importance, protected by the state. In recent years, the ruined castle has been restored at great expense and made into an accessible attraction for the general public.

If you want to be in the vanguard - the Rhaetian Railway will make it possible. It sends railway fans once a week on a spectacular journey through the UNESCO World Heritage region. In the driver's cab, the breathtaking ride on the highest railway transversal in the Alps becomes an unforgettable adventure. The locomotive engineer proffers information on the line that is unique from a railway engineering point of view. And to top it all, you will receive a commemorative certificate as well as a photograph.

It was part of a monastery which was then dissolved in 1154 - there is no longer any trace of the other buildings. Guests from all parts of the world entered through the hotel's doors and enjoyed many a pleasant surprise. Now, after 32 years as directors of the Hotel Europa, Armin and Elisabeth Bützberger are calling it quits. They will hand over the keys of the 4-star hotel, but during their last season they will disclose some of their secrets. Once a week, they will tell stories, anecdotes and reveal pearls of wisdom from "32 Years of Hotel Europa St. Moritz". Not only for hotel guests!

A walk with information panels on the first Heidi film made and its history. On a wide natural road from Stuls to Runsolas, followed by a walking trail to Falein, and a descent to Filisur. Views across the villages in the upper Albula valley. "Zvieri" (salsiz, cheese, coffee) at the Heidi hut every Wednesday in summer. Bookings at Bergün Tourism. 3.5 hours towards Filisur, 4 hours in the opposite direction.
Pearls summer
The legendary Via Mala gorge is almost more exciting by night than by day. The stairs built in 1903 are the auditorium from which you embark on a journey back in time. Key scenes from 2,000 years of transalpine traffic are re-enacted for your entertainment and played out against a spectacular backdrop of precipitous cliffs, the upper reaches of the Rhine and a glorious night sky!
An unforgettable experience for all the senses! The fields near the old mill in San Carlo are sown with buckwheat. This is later harvested and separated from the chaff before being sent to the mill for threshing and milling. After that, it’s off to Poschiavo, where the fresh flour is made into Pizzoccheri, a typical Poschiavo speciality.
