Marveling at records
The construction of the Gotthard Pass Road between 1827 and 1830 inaugurated the golden age of the stagecoach. Coaches drawn by 4 or 6 horses negotiated the hairpin curves of the Tremola from the Gotthard Pass down to Airolo.

The Museo Forte Ospizio displays weapons, armor and uniforms. Videos and audio tapes document daily life, military service and battles during World War I.
Factory
The Gotthard Exhibition Cheese Dairy also features a restaurant and a store.

A close encounter with nature: what an indescribably wonderful feeling! From the Cristallina hut up to the Pizzo Cristallina and then down via the Val Cavagnolo or the Val Piana: all with climbing skins or on snowshoes!
Reason to travel
Guided tour of the construction site of Alptransit in Pollegio or Faido, which after completion will most likely be the word's longest tunnel.

Summer mountain tips
A glass of wine, some alpine cheese, sun and plenty of time - on the
Ritom, the funicular railway is the means, and the Ticinese mountain
hut the goal.
No ordinary alpine pass road, the cobbled Tremola is part and parcel of the legend of the Gotthard - and one worth discovering.
Pearls summer
A bit of Ticino to take home with you! At the Gottardo dairy in Airolo, guests can use the wonderful milk produced by cows in the San Gottardo region to make their own cheese. An experienced cheese maker tells them what to do and after each freshly made cheese has aged sufficiently to produce a fine mature cheese, it is sent back home to the one who made it as a reminder of an unforgettable holiday in Ticino.
