The beautiful high moor on the Rietbach plateau above Krummenau is a national treasure. Its soft and bouncy grounds soaked with rain and its rare flora are worth discovering! Starting at the Rietbach top station, you find yourself walking on bog soil that has taken centuries to develop its strangely spongy feel. Let your feet feel and your eyes wander! There are plants only to be found in this kind of environment, such as the cotton grass bouncing in the wind, the moor birches with their white stems, the many ancient sedge grasses, the blue moor thistle, the different types of orchids, the students' rose. If you look carefully, you may even discover entire colonies of sundew or drosera, a carnivorous plant only found in marshes.
