Romantik Hotel Stern***
The Hotel Stern is known far beyond Swiss borders for its fine Graubunden specialties and its impressive wine list. Especially recommended are "Capuns Sursilvans" - spinach beet wraps cooked in milk broth au gratin, as well as Chur asparagus (from the hotel's own asparagus fields). The restaurant was recently discovered by the GaultMillau guide and shall be featured in the 2008 edition.

The "Mann und Co." gourmet restaurant with its accessible wine cellar opened in 2005. It is dedicated to German writer Thomas Mann, since much of his world famous novel "The magic mountain," focuses on the pleasures of the table right here, at the very same Waldhotel. The chef Urs Hauenstein pampers his guests with simple creations devoid of any frills. 14 GaultMillau points.

The Romantik Maiensässhotel Guarda Val spreads over what used to be more than ten former farms and stables. Two kitchens cater to its guests: in the former Crap Naros Alpine inn, you may taste typical Graubunden cuisine, while the gourmet restaurant - in the former sheep shed - has Karl-Heinz Schuhmair as its chef (16 GaultMillau points, 1 Michelin star).
