Christopher Street Day
The motto of this year's Christopher Street Day, held in early June, is "Go for yes" - after the festival, the Swiss people will vote on allowing marriage for gays and lesbians.
EuroPride Zürich 2009
In 2009, Switzerland will look back on a history of over 150 years of activities within the GLBT community when Zürich hosts EuroPride.
Filmfestival Pink Apple
The gay-lesbian film festival Pink Apple has been a regular event in Zürich since 2000 - with many premieres and international guests. The largest festival of its kind in Switzerland now attracts more than 6,500 visitors, including many from abroad. The festival takes place from 29th April to 6th May, 2009. It will be the twelfth time the event has taken place in Switzerland, and the tenth time in Zürich.
Street Parade
The world’s largest Techno party, the Street Parade is a mass demonstration for love, joy, freedom, generosity and tolerance. Hundreds of thousands travel to Zürich and allow themselves to be infected with the overwhelming atmosphere of the place; seemingly tireless bodies dance colourfully and wildly on the Love floats. Later in the night the dancing carries on at some 100 parties, from festivals with tens of thousands of people like the legendary Energy festival in the renovated indoor stadium, to small but excellent underground events.
Warmer Mai
A girl-centric gay and lesbian festival held throughout May, which included a tour of the gay animals at the Zoo.
Zürich Festival
The city's theatres will be launching the ninth Zürich Festival on June 16, 2007 (ends July 08), a glamorous and varied programme of cultural happenings.
