AVO Session

The festival has attracted major names on the international music scene since 1986, and takes place on a small scale with an intimate club table atmosphere. A must for music fans with high expectations! Some of the most famous artists from the genres of pop, soul, rock, Latin, blues, singer-songwriter, R&B and contemporary jazz perform.

Art Basel

Every June, the world’s most important contemporary art fair, Art Basel, arrives in the city. Art Basel offers art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Over 300 carefully selected exhibitors from the world’s most important galleries turn the fairground into the most important museum on time.

GayBasel Party 09

On Saturday the 13th of June 2009 the GayBasel Party takes place once more aboard the Schiff at Basel’s Rhine Port. Basel’s rainbow-colored jamboree gathers on the fanciest cargo-ship in the Rheinhafen to celebrate and invites everyone to join in! On board you will find not only Basel’s most successful gay party-labels and their DJs but also a variety of cultural exhibits. The event qualifies as the annual social highlight of Basel’s gay and lesbian scene. More than 1000 guests are to be expected.
