Bains des Paquis
For a quick taste of the city, check out the lake, where there’s a promontory, known as Les Bains des Paquis, just out from the city centre. In winter the area boasts a beautiful sauna and Turkish-style hamman. In summer, there are sunbathing decks and a café that does delicious plat du jour.
Botanic Garden
On the lakefront off the hotel-lined Quai Wilson, with Geneva`s highly acclaimed Jardin Botanique a few steps away.
Jardin Anglais
Geneva is a small city, packed with parks and gardens of all kinds. In the heart of the city, at the foot of the Old Town hill, is the lovely lakeside Jardin Anglais, replete with a famous oversized flower clock.
Parc Mon Repos
The best public parks and formal gardens lie north of the city centre: spacious Parc Mon Repos.
Parc des Bastions
On the other side of the Old Town lies the Parc des Bastions, with its grand avenue of trees, giant chess and the Mur de la Reformation monument to Calvin and the religious reformers.
