At first you will find a quiet and dark lake between steep slopes, then you'll encounter a mountain near Garbela that was hit by an historic landslide and is still dotted with large boulders. This event turned the river into a lake. Later open pasture land spreads before your eyes, and near Brusio you will be amazed by the imposing circular viaduct of the Rhaetian Railroad.

Southern ambience and a plate of piping hot original Pizzoccheri will reward you in the Borgo of Poschiavo or at a romantic mountain hut. There is much to be discovered: Verdant Alpine meadows speckled with rare flowers, amazing vistas, delightful nooks and rich culinary offerings with authentic products organically grown in the Valposchiavo region.
