There is much to be discovered on a hiking tour through flat terrain from Rheinau to Schaffhausen. The Benedictine Abbey of Rheinau is one of the most magnificent edifices of High Baroque architecture in Switzerland. The 23 meter high Rhinefall is the highest waterfall in central Europe and a grand sight. At the end of the tour the nooks and crannies and the picturesque spots in the old town of Schaffhausen invite you to stop for a glass of wine and a repast.
