The route runs along Lake Melch, via the picturesque chapel from Melchsee-Frutt to the Tannen Lake. This lake is the only artificial one among the four lakes. From Tannalp the descent takes you to the deep-blue Engstlen Lake. This is where the ascent to the Jochpass starts. From the summit of the pass you be rewarded with a view of the valley below. On the other side rises the mighty Titlis Massif. A descent across lovely Alpine meadows leads you to crystal-clear Lake Trüb, where the 4-lake tour ends.
