St-Luc VS (Valais)
Historic Hotel of the Year 2001: The Grand Hotel Bella Tola & St-Luc was constructed back in 1883 by the Pont family at the northern edge of the village of St-Luc. This simple guesthouse quickly grew into a grand Alpine hotel.
St. Moritz (Graubünden)
No hotel has bound its destiny so closely to
that of St. Moritz as Badrutt’s Palace Hotel –
nor has any hotel developed the glamorous
resort in the same way. Together, they have
become a legend.
Vitznau (Central Switzerland)
The Hobby Hotel is situated next door to the steamer pier and the funiculars up Mt. Rigi. It was first built in 1873 by the Vitznau-Rigibahn, Europe’s first mountain railway (1871), as part of the station complex.
Wengen (Bernese Oberland)
The Hotel Falken is a unique testament to
the days of the belle époque in Wengen. It
stands on a hilltop in its own grounds, with a
separate pavilion.
Zermatt (Valais)
The history of the Monte Rosa goes back to
the very earliest days of alpine tourism, and
the hotel still breathes all the charm of those
pioneering years – without being a museum
piece.
