The journey continues with steam loco no.
7 (built 1873, the only working cogwheel
steam loco with an upright boiler) down to
Rigi Staffel, and then with an electric train to
Vitznau – followed by a cruise in a paddlesteamer
to Lucerne. The guided trip includes
a short tour of the museum, reserved seats,
aperitif in the Red Arrow and three-course
lunch at Rigi Kulm.

The 50th anniversary of the Swiss Museum
of Transport is being celebrated with a unique
nostalgic excursion up the Rigi. It begins on
the “Red Arrow” (electric railcar, built 1935) to
Arth-Goldau, and continues in vintage carriages
to Rigi Kulm (the summit).
