The shipping line with the highest location in Europe plows through this magnificent Alpine lake, situated at 1800 metres above sea level in 40 minutes - starting from Sils Maria. From June 24th to September/October the modern, two-engined "Segl-Maria" sets off four times daily, according to schedule, across the lake. The journey to Maloja gives plenty of views and includes stops at Chastè, Plaun de Lej and Isola. (Inquire about running times in bad weather).
