Zermatt–St. Moritz/Davos

For more than 75 years the “slowest express train in the world” has connected the worldfamous resorts of Zermatt and St. Moritz/ Davos. During the 7.5-hour journey, sit back in the “panorama viewing cars” and watch the spectacular landscapes of the Swiss Alps glide past: an experience for all the senses.
Route: Zermatt - Brig - Andermatt - Chur - Davos/St-Moritz

Glacier Express 2006 - see the future today! The success story called Glacier Express has just been rewritten with brand-new rolling stock, which makes the eight-hour trip even more comfortable.

The new first and second class panorama cars are air-cushioned, air-conditioned, wheelchair-accessible and are considerably quieter than the previous generation of rolling stock. The new interiors are elegant and pleasant and the improved information system is available in six languages. The ride crosses 291 bridges, passes through 91 tunnels and masters the 2033 m high Oberalp Pass - but these are not its only attractions: just as pleasing is the gastronomic offer: drinks and snacks are available at all times and lunch is served at your seat in the new Glacier Express Premium trains.
Please note: the Glacier Express has a surcharge and it is mandatory to make seat reservations.
