Route:
Bern - Konolfingen - Langnau - Schüpfheim - Wolhusen - Lucerne
The BLS RegioExpress connects the City of Lights – Lucerne – with the Federal Capital – Berne – at hourly intervals. People who are interested in culture are therefore able to com-bine a visit to Lucerne's Culture and Congress Centre KKL or the Rosengart Collection with a stroll round Berne's new Paul Klee Centre or its Museum of Arts. But there is also plenty to see and experience along the railway route: the journey leads right through the homely Emmental and the rustic Entlebuch, which was recognised by UNESCO as Switzerland's first Biosphere Reserve in 2001.
En route, travellers can enjoy a multitude of genuine natural experiences while walking, biking, taking a Kneipp cure, panning for gold or snow-shoe walking. And by no means should you miss out on a nourishing meal in a cosy country inn.
