Luzern - Lugano (Central Switzerland)
Fast is certainly what this "Express" is not. But it makes up for it by being first class, through and through. In Lucerne, you’ll be welcomed aboard the first-class upper deck of an historic paddlewheel steamer, complete with an elegant saloon. Two and three-quarter cruising hours later, and after a lunch in the onboard restaurant, you’ll transfer to a similarly first-class panorama coach of the Gotthard Railway which will take you to Locarno in Ticino.
Voralpen-Express (Central Switzerland)
Scenic routes have one thing in common: they take us from one part of the country to another in a few hours. And not by the fastest route, even if they do call themselves an express. Yet always along the most beautiful route. The same applies to the Pre-Alpine Express.
Zentralbahn (Central Switzerland)
The Zentralbahn connects Lucerne and Engelberg, passing through Stans and also runs between Lucerne and Interlaken East (see GoldenPass Line) passing by Sarnen and the Brünig Pass.
