It comprises around 200 works by European artists spanning the time from the Late Gothic period to the threshold of modern art. Particular emphasis has been placed on 19th century French painting.
Works by the painters David, Ingres, Géricault, Delacroix, Corot, Daumier, Courbet, Pissaro, Manet, Degas, Sisley, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Toulouse-Lautrec, van Gogh are part of the collection.
How to get there:
By bus: Museum bus from the train station, hourly departures at 9:45 am, 10:45 am ... until 4:45 pm.
From the train station: bus 3 up to the stop Kantonsspital, then it's a 10-minute walk
By car: follow the signposts. Parking spaces

Closed Monday. Open Easter Monday and Whit Monday
