The Gornergrat – the magic word

Winding its way up the hillside, the 40-minute ride provides wonderful views of the Matterhorn, and once at the top, take time to admire the views, before setting off on one of the many wonderful hiking paths. Or choose from four very different mountain-biking routes.

Up to the alp – great fun for families

Discover the Riffelalp – a great mountain hiking area – from Zermatt, on one of three routes particularly suitable for children. The easiest takes the Gornergrat railway to the Riffelalp, before walking back down to the valley. Walk through fragrant stone pine and larch forests, discover glacier mills, admire your constant companion – the most famous of the 4,000 m mountains, and take home a wealth of impressions.
