This Catholic church was built on the foundations of a late Carolingian and a Romanesque church during the years 1457-1460 and 1490, with the choir and the tower basement dating back to the 14th century. The church interior has undergone major structural changes. It was remodelled in the baroque style during the periods 1612-1617 and 1696-1698, and after 1815 in the classicist style. At the end of the 14th century, it was decided to build an ossuary south of the church, which was incorporated into the town wall. At the beginning of the 15th century, this ossuary was expanded to become the simple Sebastianskapelle.
