Like a granite cliff, this hotel (built in 1858) towers over the vehicle-free Aletsch periphery in a ski area where snow is guaranteed. Ideal as a base for hikes, glacier tours and winter sports. New building erected in 2011 with large panoramic restaurant and rooms with extensive views. From the spacious sun terrace, guests enjoy a view ranging from the Aletsch Glacier to the Matterhorn. Most rooms have shower and bath. Seminar facilities, romantic wedding chapel adjacent to the hotel.

The stately Belalp mountain hotel, built in 1858, is a naturelover's dream come true. This architectural landmark dating back to the beginnings of mountain tourism is located on the traffic-free Aletschbord.

It is family-run by Irene and Luigi Bertei. Valais specialities plus a generous cake and dessert buffet are part of the package, as are exclusive weddings in the Lüsga chapel beside the hotel.


Parking is available at the valley station of the cable car Belalp available. From the top station you can reach the hotel Belalp 30 minutes. A luggage shuttle is also available.
