The Hotel Nest- und Bietschhorn, the oldest hotel in the Lötschental valley, was built in 1868 in the golden age of British alpinism. It has been renovated and enlarged on several occasions since then and these days prides itself on its family atmosphere, naturalness and painstaking attention to detail. In the cosy dining room complete with open fire guests are treated to the culinary delicacies created by chef de cuisine Erwin Bellwald, whose ability to move with the seasons has earned him a place in the guide-bleu.
