The Hotel du Théâtre was reopened following major renovations in 2000, the architect Pia Schmid and Andreas Meyer having created a theatre and cinema world of hospitality out of the six-story building. The unique art concept is omnipresent in this elegant city hotel. Centrally located with a movie theatre just around the corner, it overlooks the nostalgic Polybahn funicular railway.

For lovers of Design & Lifestyle

After a complete conversion, this very centrally located city hotel radiates cinematic charm. The world of cinema and theatre inspired the architects, and audio books and abstract film images punctuate the hotel's history. From the breakfast room you can see the famous Polybahn as if from your theatre box; in the la suite lounge you can round off the evening with a Mediterranean meal.
