We stayed here July 2011 in a 6 bed tube with a family aged 11 years-75 years. There was so much to do between the excellent restaurant, the adjoining forrest/park, and swimming in Lake Thun that we barely noticed the other ammenities (tv, fridge). The place became quiet at the recommended time (10 PM, if I recall correctly) making it a good choice for families and the weary. The restaurant had staff very patient with our awful German (the desk host spoke perfect English) and guided us to a delicious meal. The landscaping was wonderful, and the whole area surrounding our Tube smelled of honeysuckle. The onsite shop was handy for all necessities and barbecuing would have been possible with onsite facilities and supplies from the store. The bunks were narrow but very comfortable (I would not recommend a top bunk for a child that sleeps heavily and rolls about). The Tube was clean, warm and cozy with lawn furniture provided for relaxing in the nicely landscaped area between the Tube and the lake. The lake was immediately in front of the Tube and a bit bracing but very swimmable in July. Gorgeous. The adjoining park was lovely with wildfowl, climbing structures for the kids, trees to climb and a relaxed, expansive atmophere. I highly recommend the Swiss Tubes.
