For lovers of Historic Hotels

After fleeing France, Napoleon III went into hiding in the former summer residence of beautiful Countess Marie de Pourtalès. The magnificent estate was established in 1850 and has had a colorful history. The proprietor family owned the first steamboats on Lake Neuchâtel and built its own landing pier on the shore. The mansion was extensively renovated in 2011 and since then the rooms have been shining in new splendor, bringing back the old glory in style.
