RhB RailHit: Graubünden for half-fare for holidaymakers

The Rhaetian Railway (RhB) is once again offering holidaymakers in the Swiss canton of Graubünden welcome added value this winter. The „RhB RailHit“ allows two people to travel together on the RhB, while only one pays. Visitors will receive the „RhB RailHit“ in the form of a voucher from 9 December 2013 to 21 April 2014.

As was the case last winter, hotel guests and visitors staying in rented holiday homes will both benefit from the „RhB RailHit“. The motto is simple: One person pays, the other travels for free. The „RhB RailHit“ is valid for travel from Monday to Thursday and no time restrictions apply. Journeys on the Bernina Express are also permitted, although the supplement must still be paid. However, the promotion is not valid on other trains for which a supplement is charged, on special excursion trains or on the Preda – Bergün sledging run.

For the sixth year in a row, the RhB is partnering with hotelleriesuisse Graubünden (the Swiss Hotel Association in Grabünden) to offer holidaymakers the „RhB RailHit“ – a welcome alternative to winter sports, with visitors staying at self-catering accommodation now also included for the third time. Last winter, more than one thousand vouchers were redeemed, enabling over 2,000 visitors to enjoy the experience of travelling on the 384 km rail network of the Rhaetian Railway.

Guests at participating hotels will receive their RailHit voucher when they check in, those staying in self-catering accommodation from the provider. The vouchers can be redeemed at any staffed RhB station.
