A small jewel with large ambitions: seemingly secluded from the rest of the world, this very typical side valley to the Simmental is welcoming and sincere in what it has to offer. The Diemtigtal (Diemtig valley) is a 16-kilometre-long oasis of wilderness and pristine beauty.

It is not without reason that Diemtigen was awarded the Wakker Prize for its intact villagescape. The “home trail” shows why. And at the same time leads to other architectural pearls between Oey and Grimmialp.

Offering a magical experience of nature, the Grimmimutz adventure trail gives visitors all manner of wondrous and fantastical sights. Meanwhile the Wiriehorn bike park provides for a commensurate adrenalin rush, while Switzerland’s largest Alpine cheese dairy offers delights for the palate, and the magical Seebergsee enchanted moments.
