The most beautiful example of an English-style park, with the ruins of a tower, a waterfall, a neoclassical temple, an orange grove, an aviary and exotic and giant trees.

This country house, built in the 18th century in the middle of a park, was visited by Voltaire, who performed several plays here. A small neoclassical-style pavilion nearby has been converted into a quaint restaurant that is open during the summer months.

As a child, I often used to play in Mon Repos Park, and years later I kissed my first girlfriend here. It’s an idyllic spot in the heart of the city. You can wander through the woods, climb around the cliffs, explore the grottoes and admire exotic birds. Hidden among the trees are playgrounds, the workshop of sculptor Yves Dana and Café Voltaire, which does fantastic ice cream.
