Hike from the Rosswald up to the artificial lake, which is used to produce artificial snow for the ski slopes in winter. Tired hikers can refresh their feet here or enjoy the magnificent panoramic view. Afterwards, the hike lasting around six hours continues along the Ganter Valley to the Bortel lodge. From here you will eventually reach Wasenalp in Europe's highest larch forest.
Snow cannons are the modern leprechauns that virtually guarantee the white powdery magnificence for your winter pleasure. The Rosswald is a unique sun terrace high above the Rhone valley - sunny during the day and cold enough to give the snow a chance to fall at night – even from a snow cannon. The price is right too. Rent your chalet early enough since they offer spectacular views on the valley below and the peaks above. The sun sets and the moon rises – you can look forward to an unforgettable spectacle of light and shadow, all in a magic world of white.
- Rosswald show night – the turn of the year once again sees the popular show night with torchlight descent followed by fireworks display on the Rosswald (1 January).
- Rosswald nostalgic racing – in the single “Old-Look” style race, it’s not only the winners that get a prize, instead the three most original participants as well (February).
